Karen Andrews: Author and Illustrator

Exciting news! I'm finishing a book I've been working on, a magical realist children's picture book.

The Story:  During a delightful journey through the woods near the child's house, Anna, age 7 and her Japanese babysitter have a mystical encounter with an ancestral spirit guide. Through a magical gift that is bestowed, Anna is shown how to stand up for herself and trust her own thinking.

This is the prospective cover of my upcoming children's book, Michiko's Gift.  The illustrations are original watercolor paintings overlaid in ink, edited in Photoshop.
