I often experiment with different color palettes, watercolor techniques and approaches. I usually paint several versions of the same subject, as that helps me to better understand its complexity.   Some of the artwork in this collection of watercolors were painted en plein air, and in others I used my own photographs as references. Subjects include landscape, still life, cityscape, streams, swamps, farms, and portraits.  Each watercolor painting is a visual record of the hours I was able to spend in deep reverence for what I was seeing and feeling. .
